An Alchemy engagement begins with the business question, available evidence and the responsibilities needed to move forward. Scope comes before execution.
Understand the problem.
We discuss the offer, audience, current activity and the point where progress becomes difficult. Existing reports and the people doing the work help distinguish a symptom from the underlying issue.
Define a useful piece of work.
The proposal states deliverables, exclusions, dependencies, timing, commercial terms and review responsibilities. If the question requires a pilot or diagnosis first, that becomes the scope.
Connect the delivery roles.
Agree who supplies information, reviews claims, implements changes and handles the operational response. Access should reflect the actual task, and material changes should remain visible to the responsible owners.
Review evidence and decisions.
Reporting should explain what happened, what it means and what needs attention. A technical check, a content review and a commercial outcome are different kinds of evidence; each should be described accurately.
Hand over something usable.
Where the work creates a system or asset, the handoff should explain how it works and what the next team owns. An ongoing engagement keeps the same clarity through prioritisation and review.
