Strategy delivered, website in development
Ambit-N's first sale starts with the buyer's process:
the pH, the heat, the storage, the spoilage.
Alchemy IBS Private Limited worked with Ambit-N Lifesciences, a supplier of natural food colours and preservatives to manufacturers. We built its marketing around one idea: the first sale is a technical conversation about the buyer's own formulation. The work covered B2B strategy, distributor sales tools, a wireframed website and a proof-led board pitch.
At a glance.
| Client | Industry | Market | What we did | Stage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ambit-N Lifesciences | Natural food ingredients (B2B) | Indonesia and the Philippines active; ten markets researched | Positioning, B2B strategy, sales enablement, website architecture, creative direction | Strategy delivered; website in development; marketing start awaiting owner meeting |
Natural ingredients have to prove themselves in someone else's recipe.
Ambit-N already had the science and a wide portfolio. Most of its sales came through distributors, with inbound enquiries arriving alongside. The team's own description of the difficulty was blunt: natural ingredients are hard to implement. Whether a colour holds its shade depends on the buyer's pH, heat and storage. Whether a preservative helps depends on what is going wrong in the food.
The gap was in the first conversation.
The familiar answer was more leads: a sharper website, a "Request a sample" button on every page, campaigns to fill it. Ambit-N had already set aside an earlier agency's website draft as unclear in structure and flow.
We found the problem one step earlier. A sample request from a buyer who hasn't described their application is not a qualified opportunity. It risks the wrong grade going into the wrong trial, and a failed trial costs both sides time. So we moved the first conversion. It became a qualified application discussion: a real requirement, the right people from R&D, quality and procurement, and an agreed next step. Samples follow once fit is clear.
Colour conversations open with "What does your process need from a natural colour?" Preservation conversations first separate microbial spoilage from oxidation, because they are different problems. The website's job changed too, as Ambit-N confirmed: build credibility first, and offer a sample only once the product is clearly relevant.
The site, the sales kit and the pitch all start from the application.
- Website architecture. A revised sitemap, page copy for ten primary templates, and a twelve-route clickable wireframe, refined over three client review cycles to version seven. It includes an application-first colour structure with 44 verified shade records and eight application-specific preservative products. We packaged it as a sanitised handoff for the UI designer.
- B2B marketing strategy. Research across ten destination markets, six industry benchmarks and 30 candidate organisations, with ten deeper profiles. A nine-page visual strategy sets out buyer roles, example messages, a channel map and a phased rollout.
- Sales and distributor tools. Qualification guides, an objection guide, a trial and pipeline workflow, a buyer documentation checklist, two application briefs, a distributor presentation and a sales-support tracker.
- A proof-led board pitch. For Ambit-N's consumer ambitions, we proposed a launch built on verifiable proof rather than loud claims: QR-linked proof pages, a claim-safe messaging bank and creative routes such as "what's inside", "ingredient reason" and "leaf to label".
The strategy is delivered and the website is in development.
The strategy, sales tools and wireframe are delivered, and the website is now in development. Marketing activities are agreed in principle; their start is waiting on a meeting with Ambit-N's owner. No outreach or advertising has run yet, so no commercial result is claimed. The next steps are Ambit-N's decisions: distributor rights, two priority applications and a named technical owner.
In technical B2B, design the first conversion around the trial.
In technical B2B categories, a qualified conversation is worth more than a click. Design the website and the distributor kit to earn it.
